چکیده

In the present study, seed production was carried out during 2016 and 2017 in newly released cytoplasmic genetic male sterility (CGMS) based chilli (Capsicum annuum) hybrid. The objective of this study to enhance quality for hybrid using given treatments field. experiment conducted at Department Seed Science Technology, University Agricultural Sciences, Raichur, Karnataka laboratory field conditions. Plant growth regulators (PGRs) target specific receptor molecules plant tissue that can certainly transform metabolism. Similarly adapting a ratio female while planting check yield constraints fruit production. Henceforth were decided keeping view these points. It found (2:1 best) PGR spray (NAA @40 ppm significantly promoted parameters, viz. germination (%), seedling dry weight (mg), shoot length (cm), vigour index, dehydrogenase enzyme activity lowered electrical conductivity (dS/cm) as compared other treatments. Also, treatment combination P2S4 + NAA ppm) proved be best parameters. Thus, parental lines 2:1 natural crossing followed by spraying flower initiation stage with obtain higher CGMS UARChH42 (JCH42). Hence it may recommended technology

Comparative Study on the Effects of Various Plant Growth Regulators on Growth, Quality and Physiology of Capsicum Annuum L

Preand post-harvest physiology and quality responses of green pepper (Capsicum annuum L. cv ‘Standar p.13/0211003-01-Agris’) on exogenous Gibberellic acid-GA3 (100 μM), ProhexadioneCalcium (100 mg l), Cycocel (100 mg l) and Ethephon (100 mg l) applied as foliar sprays, were investigated. Among PGRs, GA3 @ 100μM was effective in promoting flowering and better for vegetative characteristics. Chlo...

Polygalacturonase inhibitor protein from fruits of anthracnose resistant and susceptible varieties of Chilli (Capsicum annuum L).

Chilli fruit is highly susceptible to anthracnose infection at the stage of harvest maturity, due to which the fruit yield in the leading commercial variety Byadgi is severely affected. Field studies on screening of several varieties for resistance to anthracnose have shown that a variety of chilli AR-4/99K is resistant to anthracnose infection. In many crops, resistance to fungal attack has be...
